Friday Five Weekly Twitter Roundup 12/12/14 | The Girl Next Door is Black

Here are five things you may have missed on Twitter this week.

Friday Five Weekly Twitter Roundup | The Girl Next Door is Black
1. I missed the “controversial” Aaliyah biopic on Lifetime, but based on the stream of tweets flowing during the film, I didn’t miss much more than a hot mess. #AaliyahMovie

2. Beyonce’s little sister, Solange Knowles, slayed the internet with fierce photos of her New Orleans wedding and put Twitter in a tizzy. #SolangeWedding

3. In holidays the US doesn’t need: November 16th was National Fast Food Day, some saw it as cause for celebratory gorging, others a sign of a bleak feature. #NationalFastFoodDay

4. CNN Anchor Don Lemon stuck his foot all the way in his mouth (again) this week. When he asked one of the Bill Cosby rape accusers why she didn’t take a bite out of his tallywacker to fend him off,  he garnered a hashtag of his very own, #DonLemonReporting.

5. #Snowvember continues as upstate New York got slammed by snow storms this week. The frozen residents shared scenes of the aftermath. Stay safe! #Snowvember

OMG, I love this post so much 🙂 LOL @ “Do you want to build a snowman? In a word. No.” HA! I can’t believe the snow Buffalo got… and the fact that they’re calling for crazy storms here in New Jersey tomorrow. Whomp! Solange looks STUNNING on her wedding day. But maybe I’m in the minority here… why no smiling in the photos? I get that they’re supposed to be artistic, and they truly ARE, but I feel like, if I were flipping through my wedding album years later and all of my guests looked like zombies, I’d think maybe I didn’t do something right. LOL. Have a great week, and happy Thanksgiving!!

Hahaha, I’m glad you liked it. I hope you that guys fared okay in New Jersey. I saw some guy talking about how excited he was to ski.

I like Solange’s wedding photos, but I don’t know that I’d do it for my own. Which is good, hers are unique. I saw a couple of tweets that mentioned the zombie thing too. 🙂

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

People can be surprisingly clever within 140 characters. 🙂

I like how Solange just does her own thing and doesn’t seem concerned with following trends.

Interestingly, National Fast Food Day is a couple of days after National Diabetes Day. Heh.

That wedding dress is so pretty. I love it!

Also, the #DonLemonReporting thing? Good grief. How can someone be so stupid as to ask a question like that.

Years ago, I wanted to go see Bill Cosby when he came around my area, but by the time I heard about the show, it was sold out. I haven’t had a chance to follow this news story very closely, but I must say that the little I’ve heard is very disturbing.

Thanks for the roundup, I’d missed several of these stories! 🙂

Yeah, Solange’s wedding dress is fantastic!

The Bill Cosby story is disturbing and the stories just keep on coming. Sigh.

I’m glad you like the roundup. I figured I’m always telling my friends about what goes on in the Twitter world, may as well compile it. 🙂
